Tammy T. Hall, RN, BSN
Tammy was born and raised in Plymouth, North Carolina, and has always been passionate about helping others. A graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she has been a Registered Nurse (RN) since 1998. She served as the Wellness Director at The Laurels in Highland Creek, where she managed a 60+ person Wellness Department and ensured quality care for 97 residents.
Currently, Tammy works as an Endoscopy Nurse with Atrium Health, responsible for patient care during endoscopy procedures and pre- and post-operative care. She serves as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety throughout the process. In addition to her professional role, Tammy has taken on a personal mission to spread awareness about ALS since her husband, Louis, was diagnosed with the disease in 2020. She organized a radio show with a medical doctor and social worker to discuss ALS disparities and misinformation, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and recognizing the signs and symptoms.
Tammy and Louis also created an ALS Awareness podcast and spoke in Washington, D.C. during the Advocacy on the Hill event in May 2024 for ALS Awareness Month. Tammy further demonstrated her commitment by organizing a 65+ person team to participate in the ALS United fundraising event, where her team, the “Miracle Walkers,” raised over $14,000.00. Tammy lives in Charlotte, NC, with her husband Louis. They have two daughters and three grandsons.
